2nd YIKES! Paintings

VOYEUR~acrylic~1st in Mask Series

I decided to do a series of mask paintings. Masks have always fascinated me. I envision days of the past when masquerade balls were held, and each guest absolutely had to have a mask. I am currently working on the fourth in the series. I do not know how many I will eventually paint, but I am thoroughly loving trying new techniques and coming up with various compositions. I am also in the process of painting a watercolor portrait of the two-year-old son of a dear friend of mine.

These are really good.  My wife likes the first one the best...my favorite is the mask over the sheet music.  They are all wonderful.

So good to see you here if only for a moment!  LOL

The masks are beautiful!

I remember when my niece was about thirteen she had 'a thing' for masks and every destination visited warranted one of us hunting and buying a mask for her.  She covered a bedroom wall with them and loved each one.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful artwork and your amazing poems.  Gifts from the heart.  My favorite of all of these ~ my eyes just can't get enough of it ~ is Rose.  I would have never imagined it to be your first attempt with oils.  Truly magnificent!

Hi again!

These paintings are top-notch work. I love the choice of black as a background there, it brings out the colors a lot more vibrantly, and makes them appear so lifelike and three-dimensional. Very exquisite work.

Your first attempt at oils was very impressive. As someone who got less-than-stellar results with my own forays into the world of oils, I can appreciate how talented you are, based on that sample of your work.

I hope the painting brings you a lot of peace and tranquility while you do it. I have a hunch that it does, based on the quality of the results.

Again, good to see a post from you. Long time no see!  Luv ya
