This is my just-finished pastel painting. When I became overwhelmed by all sorts of emotions and activities during this especially busy time of year, I had to turn to something to restore the calm within me. Creating art~good or bad~is magic for my soul.
And I titled this painting "JOY"...which is what I wish for each and every one of you.

I think you captured "joy" in everything about this drawing. The eyes have so much expression in them...you even put a hint of catch light in them, nice touch! The smile is of pure happiness, even the skin is glowing. The hair, while a little more colorful than I've ever seen in person, also conveys the mood of the picture in a way only your color choices could have done. This is excellent for so many reasons. I'm glad that you chose to let your art be your therapy. We all get to benefit from it that way.

You know that will inspire someone to try at home with hair dye products. The effect will surely not be as good. You are in touch much more with creating good art rather than bad.
Actually, I can even see someone bringing this shot in to some unhappy hairstylist. PLEASE RECREATE THIS FOR ME. Bet she can't do it. ~Mary

This painting is fabulous!! You have such a wonderful, God given talent!! I envy you being able to do this, I've always wished I could draw and paint. My two children are talented in that area, but they sure didn't get it from me! (ha) I hope you and your family have a wonderful, Merry Christmas!
